Last year instead of getting my mother a fluffy and useless gift for Valentine’s Day, my father got my mother a beautiful set of Valentines Day Watches, that she could wear to different events, that were different in nature, as far as the dress code went. My mother enjoyed these watches so much, that she told my father that sometimes a more practical gift was better received, than one that would be romantic in nature, and possibly not as useful. These beautiful watches still showed my mother that my father had a love and affection for her, but were items that she could use and appreciate.

I have made a pretty big decision that will affect my future and the future of my three children.  I have decided I need to return to school and get my bachelors degree.  I met my ex-husband in my sophomore year at the university and got pregnant shortly after.  We got married right after he graduated and two months before our first child was born.  We never should have gotten married.  We ended up getting a divorce and I have been raising our children by myself.  I have been working one dead end job after another and will never get ahead.  I am going to find out if there are any available scholarships for single moms returning to school.  If there are I am going to find them, if there are none I will find another way.

I have found my best time to diet is in November and December.  The average American puts on over five pounds during those months.  It is easy to see how as this is the time we traditionally eat a lot more and sweets abound.  If I am Cutting Calories during this time I first of all do not put on the five pounds everyone else is so I start out five pounds ahead of the game.  Then if I can actually lose another five pounds that is a net difference of ten pounds.  It is not that hard to do if I just remember to eat wisely for the two months.

As taught in the New Testament, one of the first actions of Christ’s ministry was to call Apostles to help in teaching and spreading the Gospel to the world. 

He then established the leadership hierarchy of his Church that included apostles, prophets, bishops, patriarchs, etc.  In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this same organization still exists. 

The LDS Church is still lead by apostles and prophets.  Like in olden times, these leaders teach the people the same doctrine that Christ taught attempting to perfect the Saints. 

One goal of prophets and apostles in all times has been to prepare Gods people to go to the temple and to wear the appropriately modest LDS Temple Clothing.  There we are taught how to be more like God and how to prepare ourselves to eventually enter His presence.
