Chinese gong – a sound musical investment

My buddies and I have been in a band together for nearly 2 1/2 years now. I’m just their simple backup singer and additional percussionist, and I won’t pretend to know everything about percussion instruments or practices. But what I do know is that ever since I bought a Chinese gong, it has expanded the capabilities and sound of some of our most favorite numbers that we play. Whether it’s a remake, a cover song, or one of our own originals, a gong has a remarkable way of adding a unique and exciting, yet ancient and spiritual sound to any piece of music. By far, it has been my most favorite investment into the band.
