Having worked in a financial aid office of a local junior college, student loans with no cosigner is given to mostly all the students who apply. Most of the students who receive financial aid truly need it and they know how to use it. Then you have the students who borrow more than they need and use the money for things other than schooling. Being responsible with student loans is a must. Student who borrow must remember that there is a difference between a loan and a grant. Grants are free money. You will be expected to repay loans with interest.
