When will Texas health insurance mind its Ps & Qs?

PPO (preferred provider organization) plans are flexible in that you can see whatever doctor you choose. However, if your doctor happens to be within the PPO network, you would benefit from lower co-pays and deductibles. And unlike HMOs, you would not have to specify a primary care physician on your PPO Texas health insurance plan. POS (point of service) plans are run by HMOs but allow you to go outside of the network of doctors without having to obtain prior authorization. If you happen to see a doctor within the network, you would receive a lower co-pay fee than if you saw a doctor outside of the network however.
