An Interior Decorating Nightmare

I was once hired to redecorate a living room that was a complete mix of styles. There was some classic, some contemporary, some Victorian…all combined with a wallpaper and carpeting job from the nineteen seventies. I knew I had my work cut out for me! After interviewing the lady who had hired me to get a feel for her tastes, I decided to go modern with contrasting white and dark colors. I added a Bertoia chair in each corner of the room with accent pillows, changed the carpet and wallpaper, and gave the room a wide-open feeling. The lady was very impressed with my work and promised to refer me to all of her friends.
