FOOD Grade Hogs

The material that the rainwater hogs is constructed from is a food grade plastic.  Though the plastic itself does not cause harm to the water, the animal waste and plant matter that collects in the bins is toxic.  The water should not be used for human, or even pet, consumption with out first filtering the water.  If you wish to not filter the water, it is not recommended that you consume that water.  You can, however, use that water for a number of other applications.  Such as watering your garden and lawn, flushing toilets, or washing your car on a warm day.
