Origin

I find the origin of where dolls came from amazing. It seems like such an easy concept but of course the idea had to start somewhere. The French were really on a roll when they first started making baby dolls. Then the Germans took it one step farther. They got the idea off of adult dolls but I wonder who first made the first doll that replicated an adult. Who would have ever thought that a simple and probably relatively inexpensive doll would end up being such a great hobby and possibly money making opportunity for the collectors of antique dolls.
