Business Intelligence Today

Business intelligence is not as new as you might think, the term dating back to the late 1950’s. Today there is a whole market sector that is all about BI and it is growing all the time. I found this Google Knol on Business Intelligence very interesting, it goes over the the history of BI and the ways it (BI) can be used to help a business. There is even a section that tells how to tell if a business needs BI in the first place. Also, something that is very important is covered and that is what you have to have in place if you are going to make sure that your BI implementation will work.
