Getting to grips with King Tut

One of my kids came home the other day with an assignment from school on King Tut. I was immediately roped in to help and it was at that point I realised how little I actually know about Tutankhamum – despite him being such a famous figure. I was also amazed at both how much experts know about him now, but also how much they still don’t know. Who were his parents? How did he actually die? I’m not sure if I was much help with the assignment, but I certainly learnt a lot. The internet came to the rescue as always and my first born child trotted off with a raft of new found knowledge in his head, which was promptly replaced by the next thing he saw on TV. Oh well.
