After graduating from college with a Masters in Sports Management, I was able to secure a job at a communityfitness center. Since I oversee the entire building, I am constantly looking out for new and better equipment. Our residents pay a high monthly fee to keep their membership, and they expect the best. They also get quite upset with me if a piece of equipment is broken when they want to use it. Before I buy any piece of commercial fitness equipment, I make sure the purchase price includes a good preventive maintenance program. Most of the time, the technicians are able to spot potential problems. This keeps the members happy, and makes my life easier.
